Just a whinge

Well, continuing the saga from my previous blog about my car comes
BLOG #2!! And yes its still about my car!!

Well last time I was saying about my car breaking down, cost me a coupla hundred bucks to fix, when yet again a few weeks later did the same thing! Apparently I needed to get my fuel pump replaced .. so there goes another coupla days without my car.. got it back cost me about $500. worked fine all week, drove up to woop woop to play at a youth service with a coupla mates, Got home round 11am had something to eat then went to bed, cos I had hardly any sleep sat night .. stayed up till 2.30ish mucking around with some mates and then watching Shaun of the Dead, then getting up 5.30am the next morning to get some poser shots of my band with the sunrise.

Anyway .. After my sleep I went outside to my car to head off to get some dorky 70s clothes from the Op Shop for youth group retro night. When I opened the door the 4yr old kid came running up to me saying "hey, hey this big tent blew from over there' *points to neighbours house* 'and went in your front yard' laughed at the kid coz he's funy and didn't think anything of it.

Went to my car only to put my keys in to unlock it when lo and behold!!

*Huge dent along the drivers side of the car with a huge scratch
*Scratches along the window
*My drivers mirror on the door completely smashed and broken off the car!!

I just stood there with my hands on my head trying to work out what on earth happened! Had no idea at all!! .. was it when I was parked at the shops getting food, and a car went and hit it .. I didn't know. I looked over at my neighbours two houses up from me packing up a gazebo.. still trying to work out what on earth happened .. They gave me no eye contact and went inside their house.

It then dawned on me .. this little kid already told me what happened, I went and spoke with the kids dad who also saw what happened

Turns out there was a huge gust of wind (still cant believe it, boiling hot that day no wind whatsoever) picked up the gazebo and blew it into my car and also hit the roof of my house and damaged one of our drains. They must have quickly packed it up before I went outside...

Now I understand accidents and stuff happen, but the thing that ticked me off the most was the fact that the neighbours didnt even tell me what happened, or apologised for that matter!! Apparently the wife spoke to my Dad, (which I find hard to believe also, I reckon my dad went and spoke to them) and told him what happened, I reckon they wouldnt have admitted to it if it wasnt for the little kid telling me.

Anyhow the long and short of it .. I got a quote to get it repaired - $1000!!!
I had my insurance company look at it, and now they've taken photos of the damage and are going to get the cheapest repairer to fix it!

That leads up till today.. still my car is not fixed! I'm driving around with a missing drivers mirror, huge dents & scratches, wasted 2 mornings getting quotes and nothing getting done .. sigh ..

I know these things happen, but just the biggest thing that peeves me off is I just wish people were honest!

Anyhow thats my whinge.. glad I got it off my chest!
If there is a moral to the story .. Just be honest please!! Even when your in the crap .. just tell the truth/own up!!

ok .. feel better now! (even though my car isn't .. yet!)
